An opportunity has arisen for an experienced private client solicitor to join this law firm based in our Whickham office.

Our growing team handles various private client matters and specific experience is a prerequisite for this role. We are looking for an individual with at least two years experience in handling a varied caseload to cover the full spectrum of private client work to include, preparing a Will, formation of Trusts and family arrangements, applying for probate and distributing the estate, advising in respect of measures to reduce liability to inheritance and other taxes, Lasting/Enduring powers of attorney and Court of Protection. Ideally, candidates will hold STEP or SFE accreditations, or be working towards these. This is by no means essential but highly desirable.

Applicants should have exceptional client care skills, a keen eye for detail, to proactively network and create marketing opportunities within the team to generate new business, and the desire to develop as an integral part of a thriving private client team.

Applications are invited from ambitious Private Client Solicitors who are looking for a challenge and an opportunity to develop in a supportive legal environment. You will play a key role in helping to grow the firm and especially our Whickham Branch and there will be an opportunity to enlarge and enhance your existing skill levels whilst playing a significant long-term part in the team’s success. You will be required to organise and ensure the delivery of a high quality of service to clients within the firm's Private Client Department, to take responsibility to supervise fee earners and support staff requiring the monitoring of ongoing training requirements.

Applicants should also have a full UK driving licence as you may be required to attend between offices and to see clients in their own environment.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Private Client Solicitor that is looking to progress their career in a caring and happy environment.

We will consider both full-time and part-time candidates and we offer flexitime and generous holidays. For more information about this opportunity please email Helen Holmes (Principal) - helen@holmesfamilylaw.co.uk
